Reviews From Guests Brendon Patubo Leeda is a wonderful host. My group was looking for a place to stay just overnight after a wedding in the area,
and even though we were going to check-in late at night, Leeda was very accommodating in waiting up for us at a nearby location to personally escort us to the house. When we arrived, we were given a personal tour of the
unit, which felt very warm and cozy. I was nothing but smiles during our interactions. The house itself is very charming, with a lot of space inside and out to stretch and relax. I loved every moment of our brief stay.
Christopher Selvy This was such a
wonderful place and experience with a lot of pleasantries as my wife and I got away for the weekend. We were greeted with the utmost hospitality and joy. Both Leeda and Joseph have put in a lot of work on this
extraordinary property. When we arrived, They gave us the tour of the property with fruit tree ripened figs (in season), along with a couple different varieties of peaches handed to us to try...then asked to pick
some and take home with us before we left (nice touch) Yummy :) flowers and wild flowers, antique roses, lots of trees. So much can be told about this gem, but you will have to see for yourself what this sweet place has
to offer!! We cannot wait to share the love about this place in the coming weeks ahead!! Thanks again Leeda and Joseph for the warm reception and excellent service. Christopher and Stacey Selvy Michal Leeda and her husband met us at the cottage
and explained where everything is inside and outside. We were in town for a wedding and they offered to let us check in early to better fit with our schedules and since no one was renting the cottage after us, they
offered the cottage for the entire next day. They were both very nice and hospitable. The cottage is a wonderful place to stay. It has 2 full bedrooms and one smaller room that has a pull out couch. The surrounding yard
is what makes this cottage wonderful. It is secluded from the neighbors and has many fruit trees. The cottage is called the Rose cottage due to the numerous rose bushes and other flowers in the yard. I want to go back
in the Spring when everything is in bloom. There is a small playhouse for children, a large checker board (human size) and a propane BBQ. There are numerous benches and outdoor tables where you can enjoy breakfast,
lunch or dinner. There are goats next door, ducks, chickens and plenty of birds. We enjoyed sitting outside with a glass of wine after the wedding looking at the moon and we relished the peace and quiet. I will
absolutely be back for a relaxing get away with another couple. August 2014 Gavin The host was great, very attentive and ensured that we had good directions and were welcomed on site. The space is quaint and served our needs well.
We enjoyed the garden and animals. June 2014 Fun seeker
Country getaway Lots to do and see in the area. But in addition just staying at the cottage is an adventure in of itself. The hospitality is more then expected. I would recommend this
vacation not to be missed. o Stayed March 2014 o Source VRBORecommended for:

It is really amazing all the flowers on this property. It was very enjoyable to walk around and look at all the Iris's,
daffodils and peach blossoms that were in bloom. They were beautiful! The cottage is quaint, cozy and nicely decorated with a traditional country rose theme to the decor. The bed was most comfortable. This property is
great for star gazing as there is very little ambient city light at night. I also liked the fact that they have a nice selection of tea for the K-cup coffee maker. Another plus is the interesting selection of books in
their cottage library. There is nothing like a cup of tea and a good book out in the garden. Leeda is a very helpful and pleasant host. I look forward to returning again. o Stayed February 2014 o Source VRBORecommended for: Age 55+, Adventure seekers, Sightseeing, Romantic getaway
Cute Cottage with Modern Conveniences
Left on 07/08/2014 for a stay in July 2014 | A TripAdvisor Member The cottage was absolutely perfect for
our needs. The hosts, Josef and Leeda, were knowledgeable and accommodating. They greeted us and gave us the full tour of the house and property. They were available when we needed them and were not underfoot.
Everything was impeccably clean and the gardens were beautiful.
Modern conveniences were phenomenal. Free wi-fi (with excellent signal), every kitchen utensil you could think of (including a wonderful
blender), flat screen tv's, etc, full BBQ and a gorgeous deck. We were 5 minutes from Ione and 10 minutes from Jackson, CA. Everything we needed was very close by.
This is an older cottage so, as noted by our
hosts, the water was best left for washing. They provided plenty of drinking water (and a KEURIG) for our stay. This is on Hwy 104 so traffic can be heard during the day but it is quiet at night. Be aware, there are
roosters and guinea hen on the property so they do make some noise, especially in the morning. I only wish they had a hottub or spool (spa/pool) to enjoy during the evenings when it was really hot.
Overall I
was surprised and pleased with the modern conveniences and extremely happy with our stay. I am recommending this place to all our friends and family that stay near the Sacramento area.
Would you recommend this vacation rental to a friend? Yes Thank you so much for your kind words. We loved having you and your friends as our guests. We would gladly welcome you back anytime. :)

Review #11826901 "Nice getaway" 5/2015 We took our kids for a little break from the hustle of Silicon Valley. Just a little over two hours away, it felt relaxing and novel to be out in Ione. Our kids loved the puppet castle, feeding the goats,
chickens, and ducks, and the property felt quiet and relaxing. We ate outside on the patio amidst the stars, and it was lovely to be out in the country. Leeda made up a big binder of things to do in the area, and we
ended up going to Black Chasm Cavern-- highly recommend for all ages. At the cottage, there is good internet, a chrome cast, a decent kids video library, and the cottage itself is well-kept and well-appointed, but still
small enough that you naturally gravitate to being outside and enjoying the property. Leeda and Josef were great and responsive hosts and we would definitely come back. |
